Style Tip: 2 Ways of going masculine

Written by  Donya Campbell
2011 will bring many style fads one that we predict will make a comeback in a major way is the masculine look. However there's no need to borrow clothes from your older brother or your boyfriend. Here are some the best items on the High Street for the masculine look and ways to throw it together!

Boyfriend jacket,Paul Smith - £178.00

Hareems, Topshop - £38.00

Bow tie, Beyond Retro - £8.00

Brogues, Urban Outfitters £40.00

Frames, Urban outfitters - £5.00

If you want to go masculine but are wary of the look seeming too harsh, brighten it up by selecting pieces with strong colours. The Paul Smith boyfriend blazer has a distinctively masculine cut, but its colour adds a femine feel. The bow tie can be worn with a white/nude shirt or you can go a bit left and wear a bright top. If brogues aren't your thing pair this look with chunky heels. If it's for the day this would look great with a pair of converses. The frames aren't a must, but their addition will give it the 'geek chic' effect.
