I recently had the pleasure of attending the Chanel press day for their Spring Summer 2011 collection. The luxury brand showcased their ready-to-wear collection and make-up essentials in their first floor show room. The ready-to-wear included sportswear pieces,floor-length dresses and the essential classic tweed.

The degrade chiffon florals, monochrome tweed A-Line jackets and the apricot feathered dress were simply stunning. You couldn't help but be in awe of the beautifully crafted pieces, from the classic 2.55 bag, to the monochrome bag inspired by the garden from the catwalk. Then there were the embellished enamel cuffs and elegant platform shoes. My favourite item had to be the gold jewel encrusted clutch bag, which caught my attention at the catwalk show and is even more mesmerising in real life.

I had such a wonderful time at the Chanel press day, all the staff were extremely friendly and so welcoming. I urge you to have a peek at this timeless collection and re-adjust your New Year shopping list!
