Stores like Zara and Topshop which pride themselves on value for money, have been known to put expensive luxury brands to shame with their offering of the latest fashions. Not forgetting their innovative and eye catching window displays. This has made it difficult for brands higher up in the food chain to convince shoppers that shopping on the premium end of the High Street was the best use of their money.
Reiss have always been positioned on the premium end of the High Street. Recognising a niche in the market for affordable premium quality tailoring, what sets it apart from other brands in the same league (Coast, Karen Millen etc) is how they have successfully seized the codes that luxury brands live by and paying careful attention to detail.
Reiss is classic chic but has a young and modern twist. Ever since being introduced to this brand I have not looked back. Now I can't overlook the fact that the price is not to everyone's taste! However Reiss doesn't rely on rips, patches, clichés or cheap embroidery to stay fresh.
The Spring/Summer 2011 women's range from Reiss is truly to die for and is why I'm hotly tipping it for the New Year. The women's collection looks to the seventies for a modern take on icons of the era. Anjelica Huston is the muse for the mainline with elongated silhouettes and a retro Halston feel.
They push the boundaries by having everything made in house, allowing for things to be made to their specification and with attention to quality control. The high quality and modern cuts will serve you long into the future. In a High Street incresingly being identified with disposable items with a poor fit, Reiss items stand out as an investment piece. They're not disposable and you won't have to go through the experience of having to return it to the shop because your top didn't keep its shape after the first wash. And in my books high style and high quality is worth the extra investment.
Reiss, the label set to enhance your wardrobe and make a mark in 2011!
